Columbus Show Feb 8th

Columbus 2015Dear Ohio Bottle Club Member,
There is still some confusion about the Columbus Bottle Show planned for Sunday, February 8, 2015 at the Doubletree Hotel at I-270 and Route 23 on the north side of Columbus. Flyer

Long-time Central Ohio Bottle Club Chairman, Rojer Moody, wrote the following explanation to several bottle magazines:
“Just a quick note to clear up some misunderstandings. The Central Ohio Bottle Club, started by Jerry Jones in the late 1960’s, began presenting Bottle Shows about 1970 [I have a flyer showing the 3rd annual show in 1972, admission 75 cents].  Sometime in the 1980’s Jack Lyons, because of lack of help from Club members, promoted and sponsored the Show on his own.  When Jack moved to North Carolina, he asked Max Schumm to continue to promote and sponsor the Show.  Max ran the Show for several years and then asked Adam Koch to take over the Show.  Adam ran the Show for a number of years.  He then gave the Show to Joe Hardin and Jamie Houdeshell.
Joe and Jamie have decided to move their show to Wilmington, change the name to the Wilmington Bottle Show and change the date to March 22nd.  The members of the Central Ohio Bottle Club, not wanting to give up a 40+ year show, have decided to continue the February Columbus Show.
This years Show will be held at the Doubletree Inn (I-270 and 23 North) on February 8, 2015.  I hope this clears up any confusion about the Central Ohio Bottle Club and the Columbus Bottle Show.”
Rojer Moody, Chairman, Central Ohio Bottle Club
You will find a flyer for our Show that has most of the important information.  If you would like a Contract or any additional information, please let one of us know and we will be glad to help.
We sincerely hope that you will buy a table to sell some of your stuff, or at least attend, the Columbus Bottle Show.  We have it on good authority that the weather will be fantastic (almost “Spring like”) so there’s no reason not to plan on a trip to Columbus.  This Show is an important tradition that needs to be maintained.  Please help us in any way that you can to get the word out about our Show.
Thanks, and we hope to see you at the Columbus Bottle Show.
