The Insulator Collectors of America EXPO is approaching fast! This inaugural event, hosted by the Western Reserve Insulator Club, will begin on Friday, June 24th, at the Washington (PA) County Fairgrounds, with early admission in the afternoon…and the venue will conclude with a full day of activities on Saturday, which are open to the public for a nominal admission fee. There will be over 70 sales tables of insulators, railroad collectibles and miscellaneous go-withs, including antique bottles and glass collectibles, at the show venue. The show venue will include educational displays and four separate seminars, with topics on recent finds a historic railroad line, discussions of both early glass communication insulators and early Pittsburgh-area porcelain insulators, technologies employed today to “alter” vintage glass colors & appearances and a discussion of safety issues when using chemicals to clean glass collectibles.
