The October meeting of the Ohio Bottle Club will be held on October 30th. Brian Gray will present the program on 19th century plates. The presentation begins at 7:30 pm at the Wadsworth Eagles. The refreshment break will feature donuts and cider.
I wanted to announce some exciting show news for 2015. Jamie and I will be moving our Columbus show to the Roberts Centre in Wilmington in 2015. Show date is Sunday March 22. Contracts will be sent out soon. The Roberts Centre was the location for the 2010 FOHBC National show that featured nearly 300 tables.

The North American Glass auction is now open and features 393 fruit jars, 13 flasks, 17 bitters and more. John Pastor’s American Glass Gallery opens on October 15th with some outstanding items. Lots 1 through 27 are from the collection of the late Paul Hadley of Westfield, Massachusetts. Paul was an avid collector of antique bottles and flasks for over 40-years, regularly attending and participating in many of the shows and auctions held in the Northeast.
The first of two insulator auctions conducted by Pole Top Discoveries this fall is now under way. No bottles or jars this time, but there will be some in our next auction, later this fall.
Start off this September’s “Collector’s Weekend in Richfield, Ohio” by participating in the Western Reserve Insulator Club’s 4th Annual “Octoberfest” show starting at 10am on Saturday, September 27th at the historic Richfield Masonic Hall. The venue will include a great lunch featuring bratwurst and (root)beer.
