Good Hope – Happy Thanksgiving to all
Good Hope by Gary Beatty. The Ohio Bottle Club would like to extend a happy Thanksgiving to Ohio and the bottle collectors all over this great country. An article that was originally printed in 1986 and reprinted in the October/November issue of the OBC newsletter “The Swirl” will highlight the spirit of the season.
Bottle news for November
I returned from the Pittsburgh Show with flyers and contracts from Willmington 2015 on Sunday March 22, 2015 and Washington PA Sunday May 17, 2015. It looks to be a very active bottle show season for Ohio, check out the Bottle Shows page. Also check out the Top Pole Discoveries Auction due to begin

2 Ohio Shows added
I have added 2 show to the list of spring bottle shows in the state of Ohio. In addition to Joe Hardin’s new Willmington Show and the Mansfield Show, the Central Ohio Bottle Club has decided to fill the void in Columbus with a Columbus Bottle Show on Feb 8, 2015. The Ohio Valley Bottle Club will have their show in St. Clairsville on April 11, 2015. Plan to support all 4 shows.
October Meeting highlights
A smaller than normal group enjoyed a presentation by Brian Gray about 19th century plates. Many of his plates were obtained at auction from those dollar box lots at the end with stuff nobody wants. Brian was in true Halloween spirit dress as a bottle dump. See all the great pictures.
Club shirts
I will be taking orders for shirts and sweat shirts at the October Meeting. I have included an order form for those not attending the meeting. Please pick up at the meeting or add $5 per item if I need to mail it to you. T-shirts $7, Golf Shirts with pocket $11, Crew neck sweat shirts $15 and Hoodie sweat shirts $20.
October Meeting
The October meeting of the Ohio Bottle Club will be held on October 30th. Brian Gray will present the program on 19th century plates. The presentation begins at 7:30 pm at the Wadsworth Eagles. The refreshment break will feature donuts and cider.
Columbus Show 2015 News
I wanted to announce some exciting show news for 2015. Jamie and I will be moving our Columbus show to the Roberts Centre in Wilmington in 2015. Show date is Sunday March 22. Contracts will be sent out soon. The Roberts Centre was the location for the 2010 FOHBC National show that featured nearly 300 tables.Ohio Bottle Club News

Richfield 2014
The OBC Richfield Antique Bottle Show and Sale is history. An impressive collection of sale bottles and displays highlighted the 5 hour show on Sunday September 28. The festivities started with a Hospitality Room on Saturday night featuring pulled beef, fried chicken, potato soup, baked beans,

September meeting & Program
Join us on September 25th at 7:30 for the Ohio Bottle Club monthly meeting. A slide show on Mechanical Banks will highlight the evening. The slide show was assembled by the late Doc Ford.
