RIP Jeff (Froggy) Burkhardt

It is with great sadness that the Ohio Bottle Club announces the passing of Jeff (Froggy) Burkhardt. Jeff was a premier Bitters collector and a regular dealer at the Mansfield Bottle Show. He will be missed.

From Peachridge Glass (Facebook) “I am truly saddened and my heart is broken with the loss of my friend, Jeff (Froggy) Burkhardt. Known to so many in our antique bottle and glass world. Our best wishes and love to Jeanine. This picture is from a past visit. You cannot find a greater couple”

Jeanine posted this today to the bottle forum:

“Oh-My-Heart… I have some very sad news to share.  The Love of my life, Jeff “Froggy” Burkhardt, passed away early Friday moring, October 24th.  He couldn’t have been more passionate about Bottles, Frogs & ME!!!  During his pulmonary illness over the past few years, he enjoyed connecting with new & old bottle friends on Facebook.   In lieu of a traditional funeral service, there will be a private gathering of family & close friends, sometime in the near future.  We hope you’ll share a fond memory of Jeff, either on this post -Or- a link to a virtual guestbook will be posted in the upcoming days.
May his spirit shine as bright as an antique bottle in the waning northern sunlight at dusk…  YOU will be missed!  Your loving wife, Jeanine”
