Alan Easterday passing

It is with a great sadness that the OBC announces the passing of a Charter Member, Alan Easterday. Alan was 83. Bill Koster shared a brief history with both of them working at PPG in the early 1960’s. They started as coin collectors and graduated to crocks and bottles. Their first dig was on PPG property off Eastern Rd. They found some hutches, Warner Safe Cures and a nice fruit jar. They later found the Ohio Bottle Club in 1969. Elaine and I just saw Alan this last month. He was always available to help at Mansfield when he lived locally. The picture below is from Mansfield with Ken Walters. RIP
