Columbus 2025

OBC January Activities
Well, we got through the frigid January days as we head to February and maybe some warmer weather. No OBC in person January meeting this month. Ron & Kim have revised the Refreshment schedule for the meetings. Check the “Activity Calendar” page on the horizontal bullets at the top of the website. Columbus Bottle show is only 3 weeks away. Plan to attend the Mansfield show, May 10th. Mansfield Contract.

Adam Koch Passing (new pictures added)
Adam Koch, long time OBC member passed this morning. Adam will long be remembered for his chairing of bottle shows in Ohio including Mansfield, Columbus, Toledo 92 (for the FOHBC), Cincinnati 98, 99 (for the FOHBC), & OBC fall shows at the Brown Derby & Richfield. He also served as OBC President, OBC Vice President and Treasurer for OBC shows. Adam was an active member till his death. His friendship and guidance will be missed. Rest in peace dear friend! Dave Merker Passing
It is with deep sadness that the OBC announces the passing of long-time member, Manfield Bottle Show dealer/worker, and friend to many. Alan, “Dave visited my house and we were able to images his Spring and Mineral Water Collection, his bottles are proudly displayed in the FOHBC Virtual Museum.”
Ron Hands, “Very sad news. I remember back in 1989 at my first bottle show in Richfield I met Dave. Ever since then we have been great friends. I’m in shock.”
National Bottle Museum, “Very saddened to hear of the passing of a long-time bottle collector from Ohio, Dave Merker. Dave was also a regular attendee and vendor at our Annual Saratoga Antique Bottle Show and Sale.”
